Nous avions déjà exploré les musiques de film durant deux émissions précédentes ; aujourd’hui, nous dédions spécialement cet épisode, accompagné d’un amateur averti, à un monstre du cinéma japonais aussi gigantesque que légendaire : Godzilla.

Cette créature radioactive a fêté ses 70 ans en 2024. 70 années de villes en flammes et de combats titanesques, mais aussi et surtout d’une histoire musicale qui a marqué des générations de spectateurs. Grâce aux compositions d’Akira Ifukube d’abord, qui a composé la majorité des premiers thèmes mythiques dès 1954, puis celles d’une lignée d’artistes qui, au fil des décennies, ont participé à cette grande aventure.

Nous vous proposons un voyage sonore à travers les différentes ères de Godzilla, de ses origines jusqu’à ses incarnations modernes. Des orchestrations majestueuses à la city pop des années 80, des marches militaires aux instants de pure émotion ; une sélection de morceaux emblématiques, parfois surprenants, qui révèlent la richesse de cette saga unique.
